Sweetpea is not Houdini. Houdini may have been good at getting out of knots and chains, but Sweetpea is better at getting into them.
We have her on a long tether so that she has a good amount of feeding space without access to the newly planted garden. But she likes to use the tether to tie herself in knots. It is not uncommon to hear, “Sweetpea is all tangled up could someone please untangle her?” Needless to say, the kids are getting as good as Houdini at getting out of knots.
You could do whole stamp series on the adventures of Sweetpea. I can’t wait for the next one.
Seems Sweetpea may be the mascot of Lyman, knots and all.
She is great!
so funny, and I love Sweetpea’s pose here, with the leg sticking out behind her ear – not only the tether is tangled but her whole body is in knots.
I love your idea of illustrating each day with a stamp, too.
Sweetpea will certainly show up again, she is just too interesting not to share. Along with her I will be introducing a whole cast of characters along the way. Each stamp will just be a tiny glimpse into My Life in Lyman. Thank you all for your interest.
Tusen, it is always good to hear from you:)
Loving the stamp series. Thanks for sharing.
