I created the texture used in this image with regular masking tape. Then I used a black acrylic wash over the it. I wasn’t expecting the tape to wrinkle but it was a nice surprise. The image was then scanned. The texture is added to the brush under bevel and emboss.

(click image to enlarge) Here is something a little different. I am going to experiment with a series of 5×7 digital paintings. I plan on just starting the painting and see what happens. I am interested in the visual mixing of color. I will spend about an hour on each painting.
