I sent it out again

I did it! The hardest part of publishing for me is sending my work out. I never feel like it is good enough but I don’t have the time to finish a book that will never be published. It always feels good once it is sent but to get it sent is a painful time full of self doubt.

The good news is that I am really excited about the editor that I sent the work to. I meet her at a conference this year and really liked her and her thoughts on books. She seemed like a person that I would enjoy working with. Besides that, she recommended The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. What a great book. I love it. I think about it all the time.

Oh well we shall see what happens. Now it is time to come up with some more ideas and get them sent off.

  1. Good luck to you! The hardest part is waiting. Don’t know they know how important our books are to us??? I had one book at Scholastic for 7 months and then a long rejection. I was heartbroken. It’s all hope, hope and then crushed, and back again until big reward. Love your site and especially like the Unbooks.
